It has been reported that homeowners are picking up fawns
and taking them to the veterinarian.
Not only is not good for the animal, it is also illegal.
Usually when a fawn is found alone, it has not been abandoned. The mother has wandered off temporarily looking for food.
If you do come upon a fawn, it is recommended that you leave it alone. However, if you think it is hurt, you must get permission from the game warden to pick it up.

USTA Quickstart tennis camp
We have scheduled a USTA Quickstart tennis camp for the week of July 26-30 @ 8:30 to 10:30
with the exception of Tuesday July 27th.
Tuesday’s session will be from 10:30 to 12:30 due to a conflict with the courts.
The camp will be divided into two age groups
5-7 yrs old and 8-10 yrs old.
The cost will be $5 per student for the week.
The camp will be under the direction of Bob Conroy of Big Sandy.
Bob has conducted many camps and initiated several tennis programs throughout East Texas.
Parents are encouraged to stay and watch. Each participant should bring water/Gatorade along with adequate sun protection.

THERE WILL BE
FUN GAMES AND
A BOX DINNER (FRIED CHICKEN, COLE SLAW, ROLL
AND A CUPCAKE) FOR $8.00.
THIS INCLUDES TEA, COFFEE OR WATER.
Each booth will have some wonderful prizes to win. 50/50 tickets will be sold at the door for $ 1.00 each or 6 for $ 5.00. A chance to win half of the proceeds. A cake will be given away at our cake walk every 10 minutes. For $ 1.00 you have a chance to win a cake with a wonderful prize hidden under several of the cakes cakes. All other games are 50 cents for a chance to win more wonderful prizes. Remember all of the money raised goes to help support our local charities.
THERE ARE ONLY 200 TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT,
SO GET YOURS EARLY.
