GM Update 3-22-24

Published on 3/22/2024

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Yet another dreary Friday with optimistic hopes of a dry weekend ahead. Below please find the weekly updates:

  • Hole 12 Fountain: As previously announced, the fountain has been purchased. The anticipated date of arrival has been delayed to the first week of April. Upon arrival of the fountain we will schedule the needed electrical work and get to enjoy this iconic landmark of HLR again.

  • Solar Eclipse Event: Last week there was a brief announcement related to the upcoming Solar Eclipse Event. In the announcement I mentioned the amount of onlookers projected to visit the county. While this will have impacts on residents of HLR, we will not be opening your gates to allow anyone access that is not a guest of a member. It appears there may be some confusion in thinking HLRA was going to allow 1,000’s of folks onto the Ranch. This is absolutely not the case. The only visitors to the Ranch will be those called in by members of HLR.

  • Whispering Winds Lake: Since the dredging of Whispering Winds Lake in December, the water clarity has remained murky. After discussing the issue with our contracted lake biologist, we are going to exercise some patience and reevaluate the clarity closer to July. The biologist believes that, given the size of the lake, it will take some time for everything to settle. If the lake were smaller, chances are greater it would have recovered by now (much like we see in the smaller golf course ponds). If things are not cleared up by July, we will submit water testing for evaluation of possible treatment.

  • Common Area Property Transfer Contract: We are expecting the draft contract will be completed early next week. Once received, the Silverleaf Committee, BOD, and I will review the contract, submit applicable changes/alterations (if required) back to legal before sending to Silverleaf for execution. We are in the home stretch and looking forward to finalizing everything as soon as possible.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe weekend.

Sincerely,

Adam Ehlert
